Identity and history
Lake Razzaza, also called Milh, lies outside Karbala and relates to regional hydrology and water management. Extent and ecology change with water availability and time. It is not a water feature beside the shrines, and old area values are not automatically current. Landscape, infrastructure and use need separate evidence.

Author historyLocal and cultural context
Lake Razzaza, also called Lake Milh, lies west of Karbala and receives water from the Euphrates system through channels. Regional water management shapes this shallow lake, whose level and salinity vary. Historical recreation does not establish available facilities or suitability for swimming today; access and water conditions need recent evidence.
